YOKKAO 35 & 36
On Saturday, 26 January 2019, nearly 5000 fight fans from Italy and around the region convened at the PalaRuffini arena for YOKKAO 35 - 36. The double event will go down as one of the most dramatic and memorable nights in the history of our promotion.
YOKKAO 35 - 36 saw the crowning of three new champions: Yodchai and Spencer from the YOKKAO Fight Team took home the WBC Intercontinental Lightweight title and the WBC European Super-Lightweight title respectively; Manachai’s dominating performance was marred by a round-4 ankle injury with Italian fighter, Luca Falco walking away with the WBC Intercontinental belt.
Singdam, Liam Harrison and Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee all put on spectacular performances of their own to keep the audience at the edge of the seats. The atmosphere reached a climax with the main event of the night as Muay Thai icon, Saenchai took to the ring to face Italian fighter, Cristian Faustino. The living legend put on a clinic, outscoring in every round to be awarded a victory via unanimous decision.
YOKKAO 35 - 36 was a true Muay Thai extravaganza for fans of the sport and there is no doubt that we will be back in Turin again. For the full recap and highlights, visit https://th.yokkao.com/blogs/news/yokkao-35-36-muay-thai-extravaganza.
