YOKKAO 49: Adam Haslam vs Anton Austin
Another potentially explosive matchup has been confirmed for YOKKAO 49 that is set to take place on 8th August. Two young and hungry fighters are set to cross paths at the YOKKAO ring at the University of Bolton Stadium as Adam Haslam takes on Anton Austin.
Both Haslam and Austin are no strangers to YOKKAO fans as they have fought on our shows in the past.
Fighting out of the highly respected GFC gym run by Darren Phillips in Bury, Haslam is a young talent making his way up the Muay Thai scene. He is currently ranked number 3 in the UK at the lightweight division with 25 fights under his belt. After a loss against a strong Spanish opponent at YOKKAO 48, he is eager to make a comeback when he meets Anton Austin and get back to winning ways.
Austin will also be making his fourth appearance for YOKKAO at the coming show so the big stage will not faze him in the slightest. He is the number 7 ranked fighter in the UK at the super featherweight class. After a spectacular KO win in our last event against a young Spanish opponent, Austin will be looking to make a statement once again. Fighting out of 2Technical gym run by Paul Karpowicz in Manchester, Austin is known for his slick and unpredictable moves, making this potential showstopper against the strong Haslam.
The exciting clash joins a stacked card at YOKKAO 49-50. Other confirmed bouts for the double event include Jacob Smith vs Tam McCourt, Brian Totty Jr vs Nathan Bendon, Meg Corwell vs Rhona Walker and Chris Shaw vs Panicos Yusuf.
